待ちに待ちました！SUNBOX E8 KOMPAKT。
dicodes基板搭載のBF MOD、写真を見た瞬間に一目惚れで、Blogを見てくれて以来交流のあるPaoloに直接お願いしたのが10月初め、それからリアクションが無かったので忘れられているのかなーと思った頃に連絡キターーー。

Long wait is over! SUNBOX E8 KOMPAKT.
The E8 Kompakt is a bottom feeding mod featuring a dicodes chipset. When I saw its picture I fell in love immediately. I directly asked Paolo for one unit back in October. Now finally it’s here.
On top, this is the first unit in Japan. Thank you, Paolo, my friend!!
まず、気に入ったのがそのルックス。E8 Classicをより直線的に、エッジの効いたデザイン、かつ、ドライカーボンを使用するなど、先進的なのに、どこか上品さの残る絶妙さ。
First of all, I love how it looks: the case is more linear and edgy than the one of E8 Classic. And, with the carbon fibre panels, it looks very futuristic yet somehow elegant.
そして、Kompakt、つづりは違えどコンパクト。E8より更に小さいんですよ、このMOD。
そして最後に温度管理に優れたdicodes基板を搭載しているって言うこと。
これ、BF MODの終着点じゃね？っとボクは思ったのです。
Second, this Kompakt is truly compact; yes, it is smaller than E8. Last but not least, it is powered by dicodes that is one of the best TC chipset in the market right now.
To my eyes, this mod could be the final (and best) form of BF mod.
さて、ここでスペック紹介しておきましょう。
E8 KOMPAKTのスペック
Now let’s see the specification:

自分所有のE8 Classicよりも高さで5mm、横幅で3mm、奥行きで2mmコンパクトになっています。
(Comparing to my E8 Classic, E8 Kompakt is -5mm in height, -3mm in width and -2mm in depth)
サイドには”E8 Kompakt”の文字が入ります。
On the side is ”E8 Kompakt” engraved.
底部にはサブボタンが2つ。E8では本体正面下部に配置されていましたが、操作性的にはマイナスですね。基板と筐体の都合でしょう。ボタンも若干チープな感じですね。
The up and down buttons are placed at the bottom for E8 Kompakt, while E8 Classic has them on the faceplate. I would say that these bottom buttons are less user-friendly… I would also prefer the material of the E8 Classic buttons.
もちろん、ドアは取り外し可能。
Of course, the CF door is detachable.
E8 Classicでは下部に爪が入るような隙間がありましたが、E8 Kompaktではその箇所はないため、BFボトルプッシュ用のホールに指をかけて取り外しするのが良さそうです。
Please note that the door does not provide the small cut-out at bottom that E8 doors do have to make detaching easy. But this is not an issue as you can use the push hole.
固定のマグネットは全3箇所。E8 Classicでは6箇所も設けられていて、かなり強い力でついていましたが、3つでも全く問題なし。磁石自体は同様のものを使用しているように見受けられます。
The door is securely fixed to the case with 3 magnets. Remember E8 Classic doors use 6 magnets. Obviously 3 are good enough.
ドアを開けた先はこのようになっています。
本体下部、基板が収納されている箇所から、510スレッド下部に向かって、プラスのワイヤーが伸びています。
Inside of the body; the positive wire runs thru the body from the bottom section where the chipset is stored to the 510 connector.
そしてワイヤリングも見てみましょう。
E8 Classicではハンダむき出しでしたが、Kompaktでは絶縁処理、シーリングされているのがわかります。

同様に底部も
基板収納部に続くホールは全てシーリングされ、リキッドが基板へ入り込むのを防ぐようになっています。
And the bottom section where all holes are properly sealed to stop liquid from sneaking into the chipset compartment.
ボトルは専用品
8.5mlサイズのCappy V4です。ボトルには”BFX”の文字が入ります。
注意としては10mlのボトルは使用できない点。サイズ的な問題です。
It comes with the soft Cappy V4 bottle with 8.5ml capacity. Please note that the 10ml bottle is not compatible with the case.
ボトルはシリコンチューブを差し込んでからこのように収納します。隣にはバッテリーを収納します。
The bottle is placed in its position. Next to the bottle sits the battery.
バッテリーを収納したら本体上部のこの金具を、付属のキーホルダーで締めてやってバッテリーを端子に接触させます。金具はステンレスなので、アルミ製の1円玉など柔らかめの硬貨で回してやるのも良いと思います。硬い金属で回すと金具を傷つけると思います。
そして、この金具、基本着脱式ではなく、2重の円になっている中央部だけが回ることで高さ調整可能になっていて、金具をなくす心配がありません。
Place the battery in the case and then secure the battery cap using the tool provided.
バッテリーを収納したら電源onしてみましょう。
自分が持っているdani boxと使い方的には全く同様ですのでそちらをご覧ください。
液晶に表示される情報量的にはdani box(最大4項目)よりも多く、
温度管理状モードで6項目表示
・温度、ワッテージ、電池残量、ワイヤーの種類、抵抗値、ボルト
VWモードで5項目表示
・ワッテージ、電池残量、ワイヤーの種類、抵抗値、ボルト
となっています。かなり使いやすいですね。
Now the mod is on. The dicodes chip displays the following information:

以前レビューしている同SUNBOXの18650 BF MOD 、E8 Classicとサイズの比較をしてみます。
Now let’s compare E8 Kompakt (left) to E8 Classic (right).
スペック上は数mm程度の差でしかありませんが、体感として一回りコンパクトに感じます。
数ミリであっても、例えば、22mmアトマイザーと24mmアトマイザーでは相当大きさが異なって見えますよね。この数ミリが侮れないんです。
しかし、何も犠牲無くコンパクトになっているのかといえば、そうではありません。
犠牲になっている点は
・サブボタンが底へ（基板の問題かも？）
・液晶、底部のパネルが固定式（接着か？）
・ボトル容量（10mlと8.5ml)
逆に、新設計の良い点
・基板が温度管理に優れたdicodes基板
・ワイヤリング的にボトルから漏れても液晶、基板が侵食されづらい
・ワイヤリングにシーリングが施されている
自分の中で大きい変更点は、パネル交換不可な点、dicodes基板、ワイヤリング関係でしょうか。
E8 Classicでは、極稀にボトルを押した時に、ボトル接続部からリキッド漏れしてしまい、そのリキッドが液晶側に回ってしまうことがありました。
これは設計上の問題で、ボトル・バッテリーがある側から、液晶パネル側へワイヤーが伸びているためで、自分はここをシーリングして使用していますが、E8Kではここから伸びているワイヤーの接続部は全てシーリングされており、また、液晶側へ伸びる配線もありません。
As you can see E8 Kompakt is smaller than E8 Classic. It’s only a couple of millimetres in each dimension, but, in total, that makes big difference when you have it in your palm.
Comparing E8 Kompakt to E8 Classic, there are some Pro’s and Con’s:
Con’s
- Up and Down buttons are not easy to operate
- Face and bottom panels are not replaceable
- Smaller bottle capacity (8.5 ml)
Pro’s
- Dicodes BF60 which is one of the best TC chipsets
- Chipset compartment which is fully sealed
- Wiring which is fully insulated
パネル交換不可なのは寂しいですが、自分の大好物のドライカーボンパネルなので、最初から好みど真ん中なのは言うまでもありません。変える必要は自分には「無し」です。
後はみんな大好きdicodes基板搭載ですし、末永く使えるのでないか、と期待しています。
It is a pity that the panels are no longer interchangeable. But, for me as a big fan of Carbon Panels, this is not a big deal.
It is more important for me that the mod is equipped with the dicodes chipset, and I am willing to use it for long time.
カッコいいし、使い勝手いいし、実用的だし、普段使いにガシガシ使えるMODです。
今後もSUNBOXから目が離せません！！
This mod looks cool but actually is very practical and effective and fits for every day use. Let’s keep our eyes on Sunbox!

連日レビュー有り難うございます、その名の通りコンパクト、数ミリですけどにきり心地がかなり変わるでしょうねー
カーボンパネルもカッコいいし、シーリングとか色々改良されてて良いすねー(´ω｀)

体感かなり小さいです！！数ミリが大きな違いですね。侮れないです。
また、昨日若干ボトルからおもらしさせ欄ですが、バッテリーとボトル側が
構造的に若干仕切られていて、バッテリー側に全くリキッドが伝っていなかったです。
E8でも対策はされていますが、より優れた構造になっていると感じます。
